This super-soft luxury yarn is perfect for darning fine knitwear including merino base layer garments. 
 
Suitable for invisible darning, visible mending or even a spot of knitwear embroidery. 
 
Fine 2-ply yarn can be doubled or tripled up if you require a thicker yarn for your mending project - it is approximately half the thickness of our standard reclaimed merino yarn.
 
Spun and dyed in Italy using 100 % merino wool - it's actually leftover surplus yarn from the textile production process and without being rescued it would more than likely end up in landfill.
 
It contains no added synthetic fibres, unlike most darning wool or mending yarns which are often a mix of wool and polyester/nylon and sadly release micro-plastics when washed. 
 
This is a strong yarn but with a similar feel to cashmere, so should feel soft when worn next to the skin.
 
The yarn is presented on a Ministry of Mending card for easy storage.
 
Each card contains approximately 10 m (33 ft) of yarn.
